對哺乳母親的歧視不只對女性不公平，對小孩也不公平。
哺乳友善職場是同時維護女權與兒童權利（人權）一件事，也同時促進兩者的健康（健康權）。
女性擠奶，需要有隱私舒服的環境，不需報備或限定時間，奶漲了就是需要擠奶跟膀胱漲了就要去尿尿是一樣的事情，但這不表示哺乳室就該設在廁所旁邊。
太多的母親選擇提早停止哺育母乳，是因為職場的不友善。
